Minimum Required Qualification:
  • NQF 4 (National Senior Certificate or Grade 12 or National Senior Certificate for Adults
  • Onsetters Certificate
The Appointee should:
  • NQF 4 (National Senior Certificate or Grade 12 or National Senior Certificate for Adults)
  • Valid driver’s license (if applicable).
  • Clear security screening record.
  • Medically fit to work in the specific business area
  • At least 2-4 years’ experience within the shaft maintenance environment.
  • Blasting Certificate.
  • Onsetters Certificate.
  • NQF 4 (National Senior Certificate or Grade 12 or National Senior Certificate for Adults)
Advantageous Qualifications:
  • At least 2-4 years’ experience within the shaft maintenance environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Effective administration of systems (Shaft) / Systems administration through the ability to Performing Systems Administration = Raising stock requisitions for materials required + Compiling accurate shift and work order reports + Completing and signing off allocated work orders + Completing job cards and descriptions of work and spares used + Completing role administration requirements + Compiling ad-hoc reports for management or other customers + Participating in meetings.
  • Effective maintenance of the shaft to standard = Legal compliance + Performance efficiencies + Safety trends + Tonnage Moved + Shaft availability + Planned maintenance + Down time + Quality compliance + Safety standards + Maintenance cost per ton + Budget expenditure + Quantity of delays or disruptions to operations due to maintenance + Timely and accurate information + Effective use of systems
  • Effective administration of systems (Shaft) = Reports completed to required standard + Data accuracy + Data integrity + Housekeeping standards + Data backup.
  • Participate in required SHE meetings, interventions and campaigns. • Conducts accidents and incidents investigations and implement necessary measures to avoid re-occurrence. • Ensuring compliance to Mine Standards and Procedures. • Reporting of all incidents and/or near miss incidents to the relevant parties. • Daily conducting of safety meetings. • Conduct risk assessments. • Conduct planned tasks observations and inspections. • Participate in accidents investigations. • Ensuring good housekeep
