Enrolled in a degree programme in an undergraduate or graduate school, or are a recent graduate (have concluded an undergraduate or graduate programme within the past two years) in the area(s) of multimedia/Graphic Design or Communication and Media.


Six Months Multimedia Internship at UNICEF (Copenhagen, Denmark)

Tentative start date: As soon as possible. The internship is on a full-time basis, preferably.

Preferred duration: 6 months, ideally starting in November/December 2023

Salary/Payment:  The internship is paid in accordance with the UNICEF policy on the Internship Programme.

UNICEF’s supply and logistics headquarters – Supply Division – is located in Copenhagen, which is also home to the largest humanitarian warehouse in the world. About half of the 1000 colleagues are housed in Supply Division, Copenhagen with areas of expertise including logistics, procurement, warehouse management, product innovation, market insights, finance, pharma, nutrition, vaccines, cold chain, and health technologies and engineering.

The internship is centered on the maintenance and creation of content for the UNICEF Supply Division Director’s social media channels with an emphasis on graphic production and video editing. The Director’s social media channels serve to communicate time-sensitive and accurate information and updates to diverse audiences, including suppliers and partners, and require regular production of engaging multimedia content.

How can you make a difference?

In agreement with the supervisor(s), the intern will provide assistance in:

  • Creating graphics following UNICEF’s brand guidelines for use on social media channels and in presentations
  • Shooting and editing quality multimedia (both Photo and Video) products
  • Sourcing photos and videos from the UNICEF multimedia database, WeShare, and adapting them for social media content
  • Regularly posting on social media channels with the appropriate tagging
  • Monitoring social media for relevant mentions and posts for amplification
  • Maintaining a database to track and analyze Social Media performance

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES

Education:

  • Enrolled in a degree programme in an undergraduate or graduate school, or are a recent graduate (have concluded an undergraduate or graduate programme within the past two years) in the area(s) of multimedia/Graphic Design or Communication and Media.
  • Have strong academic performance as demonstrated by recent university or institution records or, if not available, a reference letter from an academic supervisor.

Your skills:

  • Fluent in English (required). Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) is an asset.
  • Strong grasp of social media tools
  • Proficiency in video and photo shooting and editing, using Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro, Illustrator and Photoshop
