The bursary will provide cover for the following expenses: tuition fees, prescribed study materials, accommodation, meals, allowances, and work-integrated learning (where applicable).


25 Bursaries For South Africans In All Provinces: Apply For The SITA Bursary Scheme 2024 Academic Year

SITA bursary scheme aims to create a technical pipeline to address the current skills gaps within the Information Communications Technology fraternity. The company invites students to apply for funding. Bursaries will be awarded to twenty-five (25) deserving students across the country. The breakdown of the bursary opportunities per province are as follows:

Eastern Cape (3); Free State (3); Gauteng (2); KwaZulu Natal (3); Limpopo (3); Mpumalanga (3); North West (3); Northern Cape (3) and Western Cape (2).

What does the bursary cover

The bursary will provide cover for the following expenses: tuition fees, prescribed study materials, accommodation, meals, allowances, and work-integrated learning (where applicable).

Eligibility Requirements For The SITA Bursary

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered)

#You must be a South African citizen

#You must have completed Matric in 2023

#You must intend on studying full time, towards a degree (NQF level 7) in one of the following qualifications

  • BSc Computer Science
  • BSc Cyber Security
  • BSc Computer Science and Informatics with Artificial Intelligence
  • BSc Information Technology

#You must have been accepted/registered to study at a recognized public tertiary institute within South Africa

#You must have passed matric with an average of 70%

#Applicants from previously disadvantaged backgrounds are encouraged to apply

#You must not have already secured a bursary that covers your studies
