Assists a qualified artisan in the trade – through supplying the correct tools, cleaning of components, and assisting with the service, repair, maintenance and upgrade of vehicles/components.
Performs general houskeeping in keeping the work area safe and clean.

Minimum Requirements
- Minimum qualification of Grade 12
- Communication skills both written and verbal
- Valid Drivers Licence
- Knowledge of MS Office
Duties & Responsibilities
- Tyres and tubes are removed and repaired using specific tools Range: Gauges, wrench, wheel spanner, jack
- Tyre pressure is checked daily
- Worn tyres is replace immediately
- Tyres are removed prior to a service and replace after the service
- Oil is drawn if specified at a service according to company procedures
- Engine oil is issued on a daily basis and records are kept up to date
- Dispose of old oil
- Oil storeroom is kept clean
- Abnormal oil levels are reported
- Records meter on fuel pump is recorded together with details of the vehicle and the driver
- Fuel level is determined through daily fuel dips and recorded in a register
- Work area is kept neat and tidy
- Tools is cleaned after use
- Safety regulations is complied with at all times
