Experience

Appropriate Emergency/ Medical Call-Centre experience.

Requirements

  1. Computer literacy (MS office).
  2. Ability to work shifts as per roster.
  3. Willingness to work overtime when necessary.

Knowledge and Skills

Knowledge of the GEMC/CAD (computer aided dispatching system).

Duties

  1. Receiving and capture incoming emergency calls on GEMS data system.
  2. Manage caller anxiety and stress.
  3. Interrogate the call and assess the nature and priority of the case.
  4. Dispatch the relevant emergency resources via radio as required.
  5. Monitor and control the progress of all emergency incidents.
  6. Maintain order and hygiene in control room.

Qualifications

Senior certificate (Grade 12 or equivalent).

Remuneration

R 228 321 – R 268 950 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer’s contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
