The work schedule for this position is: Full Time (40 hours per week). Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.
Duties
The incumbent provides key functions of voucher management services for all subscribed agencies as well as administrative support to the Financial Management Center. The incumbent’s daily duty is to perform work consisting of examination of all types of vendor payments, from simple to complex, and other requests for payment for accuracy, legality, compliance with regulations, and justification. The incumbent must prepare voucher packages for certification. The Certifying Officer relies on the incumbent to forward only those vouchers for certification which are correct, legal and proper, and for assuring proper form with correct computation and all necessary supporting documents. Duties will rotate and can include any type of vendor invoice or employee reimbursement request. As an Alternate Class B Cashier, the incumbent serves as the Acting Principal Alternate Class B Cashier at Bi-Mission the Netherland with responsibility for the full range of Cashier and cash management duties. Serves as Bi-Mission’s representative of the U.S. Disbursing Officer.
Qualifications
Option 1
- Experience: Two years of experience in administrative support and/or accounting operations is required.
- Education: Two years of college education in management or finance is required.
Option 2
- Experience: Four years of experience in administrative support and/or accounting operations is required.
- Education: Completion of secondary school is required.
Job knowledge: Must be familiar with financial management procedures. Must be familiar with host country tax regulations. Must understand supported agencies’ programs/projects and related financial management procedures.
Benefits
- Salary: €42,491 annual base salary. An additional 20.2% will be added to the listed Locally Employed (LE) Staff salary for allowances and premiums. You will receive a vacation bonus at 8.2 percent of base pay, a bonus for duty-free days at 3.67 percent of base pay and a year-end bonus at 8.33 percent of base pay. For this FSN-7 position this equates to a total remuneration of €51,074 per annum based on a 40-hour work week.
- Locally Employed Staff working at the U.S. Mission in the Netherlands will receive a compensation package that includes pension, health, and other benefits. There are approximately 16 (American and Dutch) holidays a year, in addition to earned annual leave (‘vakantiedagen’).
- For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.
- The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
