The Road Accident Fund R96,000.00 Law Internships For Unemployed Graduates

Purpose of the Internship: The Road Accident Fund is committed to youth skills development by providing graduates with an opportunity to gain work experience. Applications are invited for the:

State Attorney Support Internship (X2) in our Cape Town offices from unemployed graduates between the age of 18 and 23. The Internship program will run for a period of Eighteen months (18). Please apply in the region you are based.

Work based exposure may include the following;

  • Interns will be given practical workplace structured training and on the job training and development, this will be combined with the theoretical training already acquired regarding
  • Delictual Law, Civil Procedure, Law of Evidence.
  • Practice Management
  • Service and filing of documentation at Court
  • Attendance at Pre-Trial Conferences and compilation of Pre-Trial Minutes
  • General administration work
  • Drafting of correspondence, pleadings, notices, affidavits and applications
  • Observation of and assistance for State Attorneys at Court
  • Service and filing of notices
  • Judgment monitoring and case outcomes reporting
  • Filing Bills of costs upon receipt as well as assistance in opposing taxations
  • General administrative work on LMS

Qualifications and Experience

  • Certified Grade 12/ NQF 4 level certificate.
  • Certified NQF level 7 Bachelor’s degree in law
  • Certified copy of Academic transcript applications with no academic transcript will not be considered.
  • Certified copy of your ID
  • Your CV and motivational letter
  • Applicants must be unemployed, was never employed in the field of the post and never participated in an internship programme in the relevant field of the post previously.
  • The applicant must not have previously served as an intern.

Technical and behavioral competencies required.

The successful candidate will be required to display the following competencies in this role:

  • Customer orientation and Customer focus
  • Communication
  • Computer literacy
  • Team player

Remuneration

  • The interns will be awarded a monthly stipend
