Trainee managers will undergo training that will enable them to advance to management positions within the SPAR Corporate Retail Sector, Trainee managers will work under the supervision of the departmental Managers and their goal will be to gain all the necessary knowledge and experience to become future managers

Job description

The successful candidates will be located in these areas:

  • Rustenburg
  • Emahleni/Witbank
  • Heildelberg
  • Ferryvale/Nigel
  • Johannesburg ( Randparkridge and Lyndhurst)

Scope

Trainee managers will undergo training that will enable them to advance to management positions within the SPAR Corporate Retail Sector, Trainee managers will work under the supervision of the departmental Managers and their goal will be to gain all the necessary knowledge and experience to become future managers

Job Mission

Through a fast-paced learning environment, the Trainee Management Programme offers outstanding development opportunities to talented, self-motivated individuals who are eager to achieve their career ambitions within the SPAR Corporate Retail sector. The Trainee will work in each respective department at store level

Programme Principles

  • Learn and gain knowledge of all departments within the Retail Store.
  • Undergo training and development in all departments.
  •  Identify and understand the existing protocols per department.
  •  Gain practical experience in order to create innovative solutions to problems experienced.
  •  Fulfil a supportive role to the management team while in the learning environment

Minimum requirements

Minimum Experience

  • Computer literacy required, including the use of spreadsheets
  • Exposure in the Food Retail industry
  • Industrial Relations experience recommended

Formal Education and Training

  • Matric / NQF level 4 equivalent
  • Degree in Retail Management / Related

Special Requirements

  • Incumbent must be able to work under pressure
