R14000 per month basic salary: Junior Graphic Designer and Marketing Assistant vacancy at Marine Spa Distributors
Key responsibilities
Graphic design:
- Create visual content for digital and print media (print-ready files), including social media graphics, website banners, email newsletters, brochures, pull-up banners, etc.
- Assist in the development of marketing collateral that aligns with strong brand guidelines and campaign objectives.
- Photo editing, retouching, etching and image optimisation.
- Collaborate with marketing to conceptualise and execute creative ideas.
- Website design and management skills
Marketing assistance:
- Assist in planning and executing marketing campaigns, promotions, and events.
- Manage and update the company’s social media platforms, ensuring consistent brand messaging.
- Support the creation and scheduling of content for email marketing campaigns.
- Conduct market research and analyse trends to contribute to marketing strategies.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns using analytics tools as well as effective budgeting.
- Content creation, copywriting and proofreading.
Administrative tasks:
- Maintain organised files of design assets and marketing materials.
- Assist with general tasks as needed, including customer inquiries and other ad-hoc duties.
- Time management and keeping track of ongoing tasks
- Record keeping, internal distribution and communication of promotions and events
Requirements
Education and experience:
- Certificate or diploma in graphic design is required.
- Certificate in marketing, communications, or a related field is not a requirement but would be advantageous
- 1-2 years of experience in graphic design and/or marketing
Skills:
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Canva.
- Basic video editing abilities
- Familiarity with social media platforms and content management systems (CMS).
- Strong visual and conceptual skills with very high attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with MacOS

- Interest in skincare and beauty products is a plus.
