Marketer/ LoadMaster Trainee position at BKB Ltd
Job Summary
BKB is currently seeking an experienced and reliable Livestock Trainee Marketer/ Loadmaster. The successful candidate will be responsible for the receipt and offloading of livestock, as well as building pens, etc. Special stud auctions and to ensure that all auctions run smoothly. In addition, the candidate will also be responsible for the marketing of livestock, procurement of auctions, out-of-hand transactions and assisting their fellow colleagues at auctions.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE:
- Grade 12 with at least 3 years’ experience in Livestock marketing environment
- or Relevant Diploma/Degree is recommended
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Ability to work independently combined with excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong sales, negotiation and communication skills
- Goal orientated
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Effective verbal and listening communication skills
- Time management skills
- Good computer literacy
- Decision-making skills
- Must be fully bilingual and conversant in Afrikaans & English
- Valid driver’s license
- Valid PDP (Public Driver’s Permit) is compulsory

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Procurement of livestock for auctions through effective and innovative services
- Sales of livestock
- Ensure constant growth in market share, revenue and profitability
- Procurement, marketing and handling of auctions
- Classing of livestock
- Responsible for effective and efficient logistics and administrative processes.
- Responsible for receiving and offloading of animals where necessary
- Gathering of producer information to facilitate effective planning of marketing
- Provide excellent customer services
- General auction site organization and related functions
- Management of wages employee
