Icebolethu Group is currently in search of 1x permanent Financial Accountant and 1x Fixed Term Contract Financial Accountants who will be responsible for preparing financial reports for the assigned business units.

Minimum Qualifications.

1.  B. Com Accounting or any other related qualification

Experience and Knowledge required

1. Minimum of two to three (2 – 3) years’ experience.
2.  Experience in Insurance or Financial services is preferred.
3. Thorough understanding of IFRS, VAT and Income Tax.

Skills and Competencies required

1.  Strong analytical skills
2.  Must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision
3.  MS Office with solid Excel skills (intermediate)
4.  Strong attention to detail
5.  Ability to manage changing priorities and competing demands

Key Performance Areas

1.  Process accounting entries and prepare supporting schedules.
2.  Prepare monthly petty cash, bank and GL reconciliations.
3.  Prepare VAT and Income Tax computations and related tax returns.
4.  Reconcile intercompany balances and prepare related confirmations.
5.  Compile supporting documentation and schedules required for external and internal audits.
6. Support the implementation of internal controls, report financial discrepancies and errors.
7. Assist in the preparation of Annual Financial Statements.
