Handyman positions at Clover
Job Summary
The Handyman is required to perform maintenance tasks within the Plant, providing support to the Maintenance Team as and when required.
Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent NQF4.
- Relevant experience in applying job-related concepts, techniques and processes at the required level.
- Previous work experience working with senior management.
- Business English: Fluent
- Ability to work in extreme conditions and confined spaces
- Proactive and action orientated.
- Acts with honesty and integrity.
- Maintains high work standards and displays resilience, determination and flexibility.
- Communicates effectively
Responsibilities
Maintenance and Repairs.
- Receive job cards to complete scheduled work.
- Repair elementary electrical, welding and civil (plaster, tiling, plumbing etc.) task.
- Lease with contractors on site when necessary.
- Perform weekly checks on racking, generators, doc levellers, fire pump and valve stations.
- Required to be on standby as per roster
Safe working conditions
- Ensure safety requirements are met aligned with your responsibilities.
- Demarcate working areas as and when required.
- Conduct weekly fire pump and valve run together with documentation.
- Conduct weekly generator run with documentation.
- Weekly doc levellers’ inspection with documentation.
- Daily Ladder inspections.
- Weekly racking inspection.
- Concrete floor and bollard repairs
- Boiler making tasks – build the safety cages used for stock take.
- Inspecting and testing of the 380V truck plugs.
- Oversee ammonia plant and coordinate with EP for additional repairs outside of the SLA.
- Lease with contractors on site as and when required
