General Cadet Trainee Programme at one of the top gold mines in SA
Requirements
- Be in a Possession of Grade 12 Mathematics and Physical Science 40% minimum or Be in a possession of N3 engineering Mathematics and physical Science 40 % minimum
- Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk base medical examination at the relevant Sibanye Stillwater Occupational Health Centre
- NQF 4 (National Senior Certificate / Grade 12 or equivalent) qualification will be advantageous
- Relevant Tertiary qualification will be advantageous
The Appointee should:
- Applicant must be a South African Citizen
- Applicant must reside in the Local Municipality communities
- Successful Applicant will be required to submit proof of residence in Local Municipality community, by means of a letter from the ward counsellor
- Have a clear criminal record
- Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the relevant Sibanye-Stillwater Occupational Health Centre
- The Cadet Training Programme duration will only be for 12 months
- Candidates accepted into the training programme will receive a stipend payment for the duration of the 12 month training period, based on a Fixed- Term contract.
- Successful applicants who enter the cadetship programme, agree that they have no, and can have no expectation of the renewal of the fixed-term contract, or continued employment, or of any form of employment relationship between them and the Company, after completion.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that programme objectives and tasks are performed
- Completion of all phases of the development programme within the specified timeframe.
- Escalation of queries and concerns associated with the programme and completion thereof where necessary.
- Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures.
- Adhere to Mine and Technical Services standards and procedures.
- Perform all assigned tasks in a safe manner.
- Assist team members in the completion of tasks.
- Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures.
- Compile development progress reports. Report all inconsistencies and barriers to development and growth.
- Report and communicate ideas and recommendations.
- Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures.
- Ensure effective team relationships and support
- Build and maintain partnerships and relationships with all stakeholders within the business.
- Engage relevant stakeholders to gain the necessary business context.
- Support and promote a positive work environment.
