Safair Operations, operating as FlySafair has a vacancy for a Digital Marketing Specialist at our Head Office. The successful applicant will report to the Manager: Marketing.
Job Description
- Plan, execute and optimise digital marketing campaigns across various platforms (Google Ads, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.);
- Monitor and analyse campaign performance, providing regular reports and insights;
- Support the development and implementation of SEO strategies to improve organic search rankings and drive traffic;
- Research and implement SEM campaigns, including keyword research, ad creation, and bid management.
- Collaborate with the content team to create and distribute engaging content that aligns with our brand and marketing goals;
- Review the content calendar and ensure timely publication;
- Assist in developing and executing social media strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement;
- Monitor social media channels, respond to inquiries, and manage community interactions;
- Design, implement, and manage email marketing campaigns to nurture leads and retain customers;
- Segment email lists and personalise communications for targeted marketing efforts;
- Utilise analytics tools (Google Analytics, SEMrush, etc.) to track, measure, and report on campaign performance;
- Provide regular updates and recommendations to the marketing team;
- Work closely with the current digital marketer to ensure alignment and consistency in marketing efforts;
- Serve as the point of contact for digital marketing in the current marketer’s absence, ensuring continuity of key tasks;
- Support and collaborate with other team members on various marketing initiatives;
- Assist in managing and allocating the digital marketing budget effectively to maximize ROI;
- Monitor expenditures and ensure campaigns are delivered within budget constraints.

Job Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent;
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Media, Communications, or a related field. (Essential);
- 3 years of experience in digital marketing, with hands-on experience managing campaigns and budgets;
- Willingness to work longer than normal office hours;
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite;
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms (Google Ads, Facebook Business Manager, Google Analytics, etc.);
- Content Management Systems (CMS);
- Social Media Management Tools;
- Demonstrable knowledge of basic HTML coding and web development tools.
