Cadet MTS Grade 2 Learnership Programme at one of SA’s top gold mines
Requirements
- Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate) and National Cert level 4 Certificate GET Services with Pure mathematics and physical science
- pplicant must be a South African Citizen
- Applicant must reside in the Local Municipality communities
- Successful Applicant will be required to submit proof of residence in Local Municipality community, by means of a letter from the ward counsellor
- Have a clear criminal record
- Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the relevant Sibanye-Stillwater Occupational Health Centre
- Must be willing to work underground (practical part of the Cadet Programme)
- The Cadet Training Programme duration will only be for 2 years
- Candidates accepted into the training programme will receive a stipend payment for the duration of the 2 years training period, based on a Fixed- Term contract.
- Successful applicants who enter the cadetship programme, agree that they have no, and can have no expectation of the renewal of the fixed-term contract, or continued employment, or of any form of employment relationship between them and the Company, after completion
- NQF 4 (National Senior Certificate / Grade 12 or equivalent) qualification will be advantageous
- Relevant Tertiary qualification will be advantageous
Responsibilities
- Ensure that programme objectives and associated tasks are well understood
- Completion of all phases of the development programme within the specified timeframe and as per minimum requirements
- Escalation of all queries and concerns associated with the programme and completion thereof where necessary
- Adhere to all Mine standards and procedures
- Perform all assigned tasks and assessments in a safe manner
- Ensure effective team relationships
- Build and maintain partnerships and relationships with all stakeholders within the business
- Support and promote a positive work environment
- Complete 3 months of “on the face training”
