Massmart is determined to build talent pipelines for its Stores and Distribution Centres and therefore is inviting all suitably qualified and unemployed South Africans to apply for the 2024 TVET Internship Opportunity.
Massmart offers an 18-month internship programme which provides work experience in accordance with the student’s training programme (logbook requirements) from the institution. You will gain valuable work experience, explore career paths and be able to network with professionals in the field of study. During this time, you will be based in one of Massmart Retail Stores (Gauteng, Mpumalanga or KwaZulu-Natal) and be exposed to the world of retail.
In addition to a qualification combined with relevant work experience, you’ll also gain business, personal and technical retail skills you can use across the business and throughout your career journey.
Requirements
- Completed a minimum of a N6 qualification (N6 Business Management, N6 Financial Management, N6 Administration) from a TVET college
- Should not have been employed permanently with a single employer continuously for more than 1 year
- Should not be studying full-time in the year of employment (August ‘24 – July ‘25)
- Should not currently be registered on a SETA funded program
- Available and willing to work retail hours and on a fixed-term 18-month contract
