Have a NQF 4 (National Senior Certificate or Grade 12 or National Senior Certificate.
Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience within a security Control Room in a mining environment.
Must have knowledge of the various systems monitored in a Control Room such as CCTV surveillance, alarm systems, X-Ray of Viewing Systems, Access Control Systems, intercom systems, radio and telephone systems.
Demonstrate strong communication skills in English both verbally and in writing including report writing.
Be an assertive goal orientated self-starter with good interpersonal organizational and time management skills.
Have the ability to work independently in an enclosed environment and pay attention to detail and to participate in a team.
Successfully undergo a security screening and clearance.
Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the relevant Sibanye-Stillwater Occupational Health Centre.
Be in possession of a valid code EB (Code 08) driver’s license.

Random and or routine CCTV Surveillance camera observation of the entire respective operational area as dedicated to the operator for the shift, with the aim of:
Detecting irregularities, breach of policies and procedures and criminal activities.
Alarm and intruder detection system monitoring.
Dispatching of reaction team members to incidents
X-Ray system viewing
Logging of incidents electronically
Telephone and radio communication duties

Be in a possession of NQF 2 (Grade 10 )
Be in possession of a valid driver’s license with the ability to drive a vehicle.
Be in possession of a firearm competency certificate issued by the SAPS.
Have a Grade C registration with the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA).
Demonstrate strong communication skills in English both verbally and in writing including report writing.
Have the ability to work independently in an enclosed environment and pay attention to detail and to participate in a team

Ensure that Sibanye Stillwater assets at the various operations are adequately protected through access control, guarding, observation and patrolling.
Inspect buildings and other infra structure, ensuring that it is secure, taking the steps reasonably required to address risks so identified.
Ensure that access to Sibanye-Stillwater premises is granted only to legitimate employees, contractors and visitors through the execution of Access Control Procedures, ensuring the verification of identity and employee status.
Protecting the Sibanye-Stillwater employees and visitors on site through the execution of applicable protocols and procedures developed to keep employees safe.
Control the entrance of people and vehicles into Sibanye Stillwater premises in terms of the approved access control procedures
Part-takes in crowd facilitation when required, providing first line reaction when crime takes place.
